Professor Krista O’Brien is an Associate Professor of Reading and Writing at Howard Community College. Before becoming full time, Krista was an adjunct instructor for seven years so that she could stay home with her children. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in elementary education and English from Niagara University. She also has a Master’s of Education degree from Towson University in elementary education and a certificate in special education. Lastly, she received her certificate in Administration and Supervision from Loyola College. Currently at Howard Community College, she is the coordinator for their developmental reading program. She also is part of their Silas Craft Collegian Cohort, a Step Up Coach, and part of the English Placement Team. Professor Krista O’Brien currently resides in Westminster, MD with her husband and three children.
